Shores United in conjunction with Brazil Kidz Football (www.brazilkidz.football) are proud to make a SAP Program offering for Season 2024.
SAP is one of the key development programs in Football Federation Australia (FFA) National Football Curriculum.
Training is by accredited coaches and focuses on the four core skills:
- First touch
- Striking the ball
- 1 v 1s
- Running with the ball
SAP is open to boys and girls turning 9 to 11 in 2024 with intake being players born in between 2013-2015. The program aims to provide additional football development opportunities for the most football motivated players in this age group and requires players to be focused on improving their game.
At Shores United Soccer Club it is a 25-week program comprising one training sessions per week in the pre-season, two sessions per week during season (15 weeks) and six half-day carnivals. During the season (Term Two and half of Term Three -Monday 29th April to Saturday 24th August) the additional training will be held with Alex Spengler of Brazil Kidz Football (www.brazilkidz.football). A total of 15 sessions! Grade 10 and 11 players chosen in the SAP squads will play as a team each Saturday and participate in a miniroos SAP playing pool. This will be a more challenging pool of teams who are undertaking a similar development program so will provide an appropriately challenging game each week for the players to develop their skills. This will mean that they’ll have to make a choice of whether to stay in their existing team which is more social and friends based or step out to play in the SAP team.
There will be an additional levy of $100 for the program to cover the cost of coaching.
- Formation of teams relies solely on there being enough numbers to make up teams for each age group
